Mezzo Forte is far from the dark tone of A Kite. It's very funny and colorful. Mikura is the typical Umetsu "cute but deadly" girl and she delivers. Mr Umetsu directed the OVAs and the animation. He was also responsible for both Character designs and Storyboards, just like in A Kite. A must see for Umetsu fans.
